Different oil types
In addition to the standard VG46 hydraulic oil, there is also experience with both higher and lower viscous oils, such as VG32 to VG150. Palm oil and diesel are also well-known media that can be used for calculations without any problems.
Standard and project specific solutions
In our warehouse we have a large range of separate coolers in stock with a capacity between 5kW and 100kW. These can be carried out with a 12VDC, 24VDC, a 3-phase electric motor, hydraulic motor or with a project-specific solution. Water-cooled solutions are normally available within a few weeks.
Cooling capacity at 45 degrees ambient temperature
Oversluizen distinguishes itself by carrying out cooling calculations based on the maximum expected conditions. This increases operational reliability when it is needed. The cooling capacity is estimated to be between 20% and 30% of the installed mechanical capacity, with the maximum expected ambient temperature at 100% continuous power.
Pressure drops at low temperatures
An underestimated danger when selecting coolers is the high to very high pressure drop across the cooler at cold temperatures. The pressure drop is often calculated at a working temperature between 60 and 70 degrees Celsius, where the oil is many times thinner than around the freezing point, resulting in high pressure drops.
Heat recovery
Destroying hydraulic heat is in many cases the rule rather than the exception. At the moment, however, there are very compact solutions that make it possible to pass water through a separate cooler at times when heat for the cabine is necessary, with which heat can be recovered. This is widely used in electro-hydraulic machines that otherwise have to heat the cabin with battery power.
