Electrification in itself is not new, the scale and the compact high capacities, on the other hand, are. These compact housings require new thinking of cooling. This is lower for electric motors.<\/p>\n<p>The ABB ACS880-17LC-1000A-7 produces 38 kW of thermal heat with a rated power of 800 kW. The ABB factory then specifies that the coolant (water\/glycol) may enter the inverter with a maximum temperature of 36 degrees. This applies in both the winter and summer months.<\/p>\n<h2>Low temperatures<\/h2>\n<p>Cooling will already become problematic in the Dutch summer months with outside temperatures of 30+ degrees, especially if this rises to 35+ or 40 degrees Celsius. Although it is possible to generate 3 to 5 degrees colder coolant than the outside air temperature by means of Adiabatic cooling, Oversluizen prefers to talk to the supplier and\/or the (end) customer. During these discussions an optimized cooling solution can be set up, which is not only efficient in terms of electrical consumption, but also sensible in terms of price.<\/p>\n<h2>Waterpump<\/h2>\n<p>In addition to the cooler as the main component, Oversluizen also engineers the required water pump.
